![]() | Dam Safety Engineering Since being founded in 1972, Keller & Kirkpatrick has provided civil engineering expertise to both the public and private sector clients on a continual basis. We measure success by the fact that many of our clients are repeat clients. We realize that there is far more to dam safety engineering than simple technical prowess. It involves creative, cost-effective solutions, continual communication with our clients, a thorough knowledge of the entire approval process, and a total commitment to deadlines. Below is a summary of our qualifications: The ExperienceOver the past three (3) years, Keller & Kirkpatrick has been actively involved with many dam safety projects. These projects generally come to us as a simple annual "regular" inspection, but virtually every dam built prior to 1980 is by definition "hydraulically deficient" by today's NJDEP Dam Safety Standards and as a result, NJDEP issues "Compliance" letters. We are currently working actively on performing the surveys and engineering analyses to bring nine (9) dams into full "Compliance". This process is usually spread over several years due to lack of funding at the local and state levels. The SkillsKeller & Kirkpatrick has in-house expertise in the following areas of practice which are all integral to addressing Dam Safety Compliance issues for our clients:
