New Roadway/Realignment Design

Since being founded in 1972, Keller & Kirkpatrick has provided engineering expertise to many municipalities, counties and private developers on a continual basis. We realize that timeframe is of critical importance for numerous projects. Accordingly, we utilize continual communication with our clients as well as a thorough knowledge of the review and approval process to complete our projects in a timely, cost-effective manner. The ultimate goal of each project is moving traffic safely and efficiently while being sensitive to the environs and context of the area. Below is a summary of our qualifications:

The Experience

Over the past five (5) years, Keller & Kirkpatrick has designed over 30 roadway projects for various municipalities, counties and private developers throughout northern and central New Jersey. Over the same period, Keller & Kirkpatrick has also designed single and multi-family residential developments in excess of 1,000 totals units, which included significant roadway design components. These projects included new design and realignment that took into account soil conditions and design guidelines from "A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets" by AASHTO (The "Green Book"), the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Roadway Design Manual, and other applicable references. Individual work tasks included traffic volume analysis, soils investigation, existing condition and right of way surveying, along with structural, environmental and context sensitive design.

Permitting

Keller & Kirkpatrick has experience in obtaining a wide variety of permits from government agencies including local municipal and county approvals as well as NJDOT Access and Drainage Permits and a wide range of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) and Soil Conservation permits.
